Friday Update: “Spectre” Scares up $5.25M from Early Shows

Spectre started last night with a solid $5.25M from early Thursday shows. In comparison, Skyfall pulled in $2.2M just from IMAX, and that was also three years ago before early shows were as commonplace as they are now. If all of these factors balance out accurately, Spectre will likely wind up with around the same as Skyfall this weekend.

The Peanuts Movie didn’t play on Thursday night, which is a bit odd even for a kids movie. MinionsInside Out  and Goosebumps  all did. Even more so because of Peanuts‘ older fanbase, who may have helped get a bit of media attention today.

Updated Predictions

  1. Spectre – $84M
